About the Reorder PDF Pages
Reorder PDF Pages shows every page of a PDF as a preview so you can put them in a new order, delete pages you do not need and save the result as a new PDF.
It fixes scans that came out in the wrong order, moves an appendix to the end, puts a cover page first or removes blank and duplicate pages before you send a document.
The previews are rendered by PDF.js and the new file is written by pdf-lib, both inside your browser. Your document is never uploaded. Deleted pages are not copied into the new file at all.
How to use it
- Click “Choose a PDF file” or drag a PDF onto the box.
- Drag a page by its handle (the dotted icon) to a new position. On a phone, touch and hold the handle while you move your finger.
- Alternatively use the arrow buttons under a page, or click a page to select it, type a number into “Move to position” and click “Move”.
- Delete pages with the trash button. Deleted pages are listed above the previews and can be restored with one click.
- Use “Reverse order” to flip the whole document, or “Reset” to go back to the original order.
- Click “Save PDF”, then download the reordered file.
Features
- Drag and drop that works on touch screens: Pages move with the mouse, finger or pen, and the page scrolls automatically while you drag near the top or bottom of the window.
- Precise moves without dragging: Move pages one step with the arrow buttons or the arrow keys on a focused handle, or jump straight to a position number – useful in long documents.
- Delete and restore pages: Remove pages and bring them back before saving; the original position and page number are always shown.
- Reverse and reset: Reverse the page order in one click, for example for a stack that was scanned back to front.
- Lossless and private: Pages are copied without re-compression and processed only on your device. Links between pages are updated to the new order.
Examples
Scanned in the wrong order
A 6-page contract was scanned as pages 1, 2, 5, 6, 3, 4. Drag pages 3 and 4 back after page 2, check the position numbers and save.
Remove blank pages
A duplex scan added empty back sides. Delete the blank pages with the trash buttons and save a cleaner, shorter file.
Back-to-front stack
The pages of a printed booklet were fed into the scanner last page first. Click “Reverse order” and save.
Limitations and notes
- Password-protected and encrypted PDFs cannot be opened.
- Bookmarks are not kept in the saved file, form fields are no longer fillable (their current appearance usually stays visible), and digital signatures are not valid after the pages are rearranged.
- Pages cannot be duplicated or inserted from another file – use Merge PDF to combine documents.
- Every page is shown as a preview, so documents with hundreds of pages need more scrolling and memory. Previews of complex pages may take a moment to appear.
Frequently asked questions
How do I move a page on my phone?
Touch and hold the dotted handle next to the page number, then move your finger – the other pages make room. If dragging is fiddly, use the arrow buttons or select the page and type the target position.
Can I delete pages with this tool?
Yes. Click the trash button under a page. Deleted pages are listed above the previews and can be restored until you save. They are not included in the saved file in any form.
Will the text and images keep their quality?
Yes. The pages are copied as they are; nothing is rasterized or re-compressed.
Do links inside the document still work?
Links that jump to another page of the document are updated to point to that page in its new position. Links to deleted pages are removed. Bookmarks are not preserved.
Is my document uploaded?
No. The PDF is read and saved entirely in your browser and never leaves your device.
